Back at Shirley Ryan I was admitted back to Shirley Ryan yesterday. I got a room that looks right over Navy pier and the lake I’m up early to try to catch the sunrise. when I was here in August those sunrises were really inspiring I love them. When I stayed here in December I had a western view with the city lights that also had its beautyEspecially at night with all the lights.
I saw my SR doctors and nurses yesterday we’re going to start getting my intense physical and occupational therapy scheduled in order to create the quickest results possible for me to gain strength in my legs and get out of here. They also want me to get out of here as quickly as possible so I can start on Avastin which is a new infusion to replace chemotherapy. Hopefully that will decrease the swelling and increase my leg mobility more quickly as well. (while allowing me to get off of the steroids which I cannot stand being on ) As of now I am still completely immobile my left leg isn’t working (my brain will tell it to move and it won’t move type of thing ) no mobility or strength at all in my left and my my right leg is still spasming and I don’t have the ability to stand or walk.Lon it
It’s amazing how quickly I can gain strength though once they stick me in their harness and on their treadmills and start working my ass off here. I’m looking forward to getting my ass kicked by these dedicated physical therapist. They push you to your limits but get the most out of you.
Yay!! Glad to hear you are there and ready to kick some ass! You always are good at that 😛 🥰😘😘😘
Keep focus. I am sending you positive energy. We are always thinking of you. MM
